Such a sweet summer wedding. It doesn’t get any more summery than black eyed Susans in the bouquets!
The day started with a church wedding, many meaningful moments as family and friends participated.
Before joining the reception at the Alexandrian in Old Town Alexandria, the bride and groom were dropped off with the Maid of Honor (always helpful to have someone to hold extra things and help with the bride’s dress and bouquet) a few blocks away for portraits. I love when we have a little time in a pretty spot for portraits! It doesn’t take long, but you do have to plan for it to fit into the wedding day. We used several scenic spots as we walked to the hotel to join the cocktail hour. Old Town Alexandria never disappoints as it’s full of beautiful colors and textures on every house and street.
It was a warm July evening, but that didn’t stop the group from enjoying the evening with lots of dancing and fun in the Alexandrian courtyard. Congratulations Abby and Austin, best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together!
