Spring! It almost makes all that snow worth it. 🙂 We’ve had the most glorious, warm spring so far, I think God knew we needed it to remind us that life does return after a long cold winter. The cherry blossoms had a quick bloom of only a couple of days, with all the warm weather, but they were magnificent! Enjoy these pictures of God’s handiwork as we celebrate that He is risen on this glorious Easter morning!
It’s always fun to catch up with past clients, so I was thrilled when Jodi asked me to do a mini maternity shoot for her when she was in town recently. She wanted a few pictures to document this milestone in her life and for the baby to have a picture of his or her mommy at this time. I’m sure your child will appreciate how thoughtful and organized you are, Jodi!
I knew and worked with Jodi on hearing health issues when I was a Hill staffer many years ago, so it’s been an honor to be apart of some of the biggest moments in her life, first as her wedding photographer. And now I’m so excited for her and Michael as they prepare to welcome their first baby. Hopefully they’ll bring the child back for a visit so I can photograph him or her in the months and years to come.
Congratulations on your growing family, I can’t wait for the “it’s a boy – or girl” announcement!

A couple of weeks ago, while in Jacksonville Florida, on a SUPER windy day, I had a fabulous time helping Alayne add to her modeling portfolio. Alayne had some great location ideas for photos and I thought it would be fun to add a little extra drama with the post processing of the pictures, to really play up the textures. Isn’t Alayne beautiful?!

While I was in Jacksonville Florida last week, Katherine asked me to help her with some updated headshots for her portfolio. My camera loves Katherine and I’m always more than happy to create a new portrait of this gorgeous girl. She’s a photographer’s dream with her distinctive hair and expressive eyes. Maybe we’ll see her face on an ad campaign someday!
While you may think it’s warm in FL in March, not so much this year! We about froze for a few outdoor shots, the wind was bitterly cold! But Katherine doesn’t let on that she’s cold and sitting in a puddle. 🙂

I had the pleasure of photographing TaShika at her studio apartment on Saturday in Arlington. She’s hoping to start her own interior design business soon, so she wanted the pictures to capture her decorating style too. She has certainly made the most of a small space with lots of beautiful elements. I can see why her friends and family are coming to her for decorating advice!
