I love meeting up with my little clients and seeing how much they’ve grown since our last shoot. There are so many changes between 1 and 2 years old, in particular. Kiana has gone from baby to adorable little girl since our last session. Brennan still has boundless energy and Kiana balances him out by being especially easy going. The kids ran to their hearts content – and I was able to catch some sweet and funny faces along the way!
You don’t have to be around me very long to find out that I love flowers – arranging them, growing them, photographing them – just enjoying them. So naturally I must visit the azaleas every spring at the National Arboretum. They cover Mount Hamilton, the highest hill in DC. And with all the unique hybrids, they are incredible! They are almost gone this year, but put it on your calendar for a visit in late April next year!

Susan and Sang’s album slideshow has been posted. I was really excited to work on their book with all those amazing portraits and had such a hard time picking only the best of the best images to include. It could easily have become a two volume work! 🙂 I just loving seeing all the pictures come together to tell the day’s story. Click here to see it.
Susan and Sang were married on Saturday at the Old Post Chapel on Fort Myer, in a beautiful ceremony complete with a Sabar Arch. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them both and am a little sad and jealous that they will soon be moving to Hawaii.
Besides being wonderful people, they were a photographers dream to give me a couple of hours and creative license during the portrait time. Thankfully the rain held off and we made a few stops in Arlington and DC – and I’m thrilled with the result! As their friends attested to all day, they are a perfect pair and I think you can see on their faces how much they love each other. It was a pleasure to be part of their joyous day!
