Washington DC Cherry Blossom Engagement Photos – Tiffany and Rod

Cherry blossoms and diamonds just go together.  So a cherry blossom engagement shoot is a perfect fit! We had the most beautiful day for Tiffany and Rod’s Washington, DC engagement session.  With a short engagement after many years of dating, I’m so glad this photogenic couple made time for engagement pictures.  Over time, they will treasure these pictures even more as they look back on their dating days.  I enjoyed working with them and am even more excited about their wedding coming up in May!

Washington DC Maternity Photographer – Becoming a Family of Four

This sweet family was 11 days away from meeting baby brother. Doesn’t Jenn look incredible!?  And Miss Emma-Grace is so adorable!

One of my all time favorite family portraits.  Love the connection between them all – how comfortable Emma-Grace is on her Daddy’s shoulders and the anticipation of a new family member coming soon.

Cherry Blossom Art – Washington, DC

I love scenery art much more as a painting than a photograph.  The texture of the paint and canvas adds a touch of surrealism making the image as beautiful as it is in my mind and experience, without the flaws of reality.  I’ve taken some of my favorite cherry blossom photographs from recent years and turned them into paintings.

All are for sale on a variety of papers and sizes and can come framed.  Contact me for more information and to purchase.

Cherry Blossoms – Washington, DC – 2015

Another late blooming season – it’s so hard to wait for spring when the cherry blossoms are nearly in mid-April (peak on April 10th).  But it’s always worth the wait!  The season lasted a little longer this year with cool cloudy weather the first few days, followed by sunshine.  There’s just nothing prettier than being covered in a cloud of cherry blossoms!

Published – Army Navy Country Club Wedding on Washingtonian

Porter and Kacie have a fairytale wedding story.  They met literally walking down the isle as his brother married her best friend.  Porter instantly knew Kacie was the girl for him and the rest is history, as they say.

Their wedding ceremony was on the balcony of the Army Navy Country Club with the Washington Monument in the background.  So fittingly patriotic for this Marine groom.  And Kacie’s gown was so unique and regal, she was a stunning bride.

Click here to see more of their story and pictures of their beautiful summer wedding from the feature on the Washingtonian.

Thank you Caroline and the Washingtonian for publishing Kacie and Porter’s wedding!
