Florida Beach Pictures – Lenox, Lincoln and London

Yes, these pictures are long overdue on the blog.  We spent a rainy week at Crescent Beach in August but I managed to fit in a few photos of the nephews and niece over three cloudy evenings.

Lots of bike rides and walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean and pool, and many puzzles, games and books kept us busy. I’m not sure where these big kids came from, but it was great to make summer memories together!

Lenox has lost both his front teeth since this picture.  He is thrilled, but I miss this smile. There’s something way too grownup up about losing those top baby teeth!

And that brings me to this girl.  London was just starting to walk but getting faster and better by the day!

I love this picture, it totally captures her personality.  She’s little miss extrovert and is excited to say hi to every new person she sees.

Stoneleigh Golf & Country Club Wedding Photos – Congratulations April and Tom!

April and Tom searched for a picture perfect, budget friendly wedding venue – and they found it in Stoneleigh Golf in Country Club.  A little past Leesburg, VA, Stoneleigh offers rustic barns, and mountain top views along with a private courtyard for the wedding ceremony and tented reception.   I was thrilled April discovered this gem, because I knew she’d thought about pictures when selecting the site. 🙂

The wedding had so many DIY personal touches and fun details provided by April’s talented sisters (with help from their families).  I’ve known April, her sister Lauren and her Mom for a few years, so it was fun to meet the rest of the sisters I’ve heard so much about. Those ladies know how to work hard and play hard! It was a joy to witness their love and support for April and Tom as they begin their lives as husband and wife.  Congratulations you two!

The beautiful bride with flowers by James Cox, a man whose passion is to create beauty with flowers to make brides happy.  He certainly did!

The bride’s sisters were behind the wedding decor and all the DIY projects.  They did a fabulous job making the spaces personal and festive!

The reveal!

Stonleigh Golf and Country Club provides golf carts so we can use the beautiful grounds and views for pictures.

The drive down the mountain.

When I’m photographing children, I often wonder what the parents are doing behind me to illicit smiles.  Now we know! 🙂

The table letters are from a wall collection belonging to the mother of the bride.  Letters that she collected over the years and the girls have many memories of playing wall scrabble with them.  (This is the kids table.)

The cake topper was on the bride’s parent’s cake.  And the cupcakes are from the brides favorite, Georgetown Cupcake

Kids of all ages had a fabulous time!

Veritas Vineyard Wedding Photographer – Congratulations Kaye and Andrew!

Kaye and Andrew’s wedding was on a warm, early fall day at the lovely Veritas Vineyard near Charlottesville, VA.  Towards the end of the reception, it made me so happy to hear them both reflect that the day was perfect – just like a sign they had welcoming guests that proclaimed it to be the “Best Day Ever”.   It was such an honor and a joy to work with them and their families, and to photograph so many sweet moments and memories on their wedding day. Congratulations Kaye and Andrew!

A first look with Dad (above) was super sweet!  Then the reveal to Andrew (below) was also a tad emotional.  I love when a couple and the families are fully present in the moment, emotions and all.  I hope this photo will help them experience again exactly how they were feeling as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.

The beautiful mountain views at Veritas Vineyard create a majestic backdrop for the first kiss as a married couple!

This father/daughter dance had all the guests in tears, what a beautiful moment!
