Emily and Charlie were married on a bright, sunny, but slightly chilly, fall day at River Farm in Alexandria, VA. I love how they thoughtfully brought in family traditions and other touches that were fully “them”. Charlie wore his boots, which ties in with the country band that played for the dancing. Emily loves pie, another family tradition, so no wedding cake in favor of a beautiful selection of pies. And a few Jewish traditions from Emily’s family were incorporated too – the signing of the Ketubah, the breaking of the glass and the Hora. The bride and groom each have a sister and brother which served as their wedding party. They also had a good friend officiate the ceremony which made it special and personal. It was a beautiful celebration as they start their married lives together. Congratulations Emily and Charlie!
