Jacksonville Florida Children’s Photographer – The Nephews

My nephews were long over due for a photoshoot so I couldn’t let another visit go by without a quick shoot.  I thought it would be fun to use the same chair from March 2009 and see how much they’ve grown in 2 1/2 years.  However, waking them up from a nap and expecting them to be cute and happy may not have been the best recipe for smiles.  And the gnats kept making them squirm, but at least there were a few keepers.  Still adorable, if this proud aunt says so herself!

Published – St. Matthew’s Cathedral Washington DC Wedding

On such a rainy, dreary day like today, I long for the absolutely perfect weather that Ruby and Waynne had for their September wedding.   It was such a gorgeous day and such a wonderful celebration!  After a regal ceremony at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, we had time to go to the National Cathedral for some pictures on the grounds.  The National Cathedral is one of my favorite spots, I hope they are able to fix the earthquake damage quickly.  I miss going there already.

Ruby and Waynne had their reception at the Gaylord National Harbor with gorgeous sunset views of the Potomac River.  Click here to see more of their pictures published on one of DC’s newest wedding blogs, Capitol Romance.

Many thanks to Capitol Romance for the feature!

Maryland High School Senior – Brad + Family

It’s always fun to work with the same family again! I was privileged to photograph Brad’s beautiful older sister, Allison, a few years ago when she was a high school senior.  Brad is the star senior now and had his own photo session at National Harbor. Brad was quite generous (or relieved?), to share his time by combining it with a family shoot.  Brad was a really great sport, and hopefully realized that a portrait session isn’t too painful after all.  Doesn’t he look great!? Have a wonderful senior year, Brad! And congratulations Class of 2012!

Published – Summer Garden Wedding at River Farm

Love Wed Bliss, the Australian wedding blog with a global reach, recently published Amanda and Jon’s beautiful garden wedding, sharing their day with the world.  Amanda and Jon celebrated their first anniversary a few weeks ago and we all fondly remember the nearly 110 degree day that was so sweet and lovely, in spite of the heat.  The recent hurricane is a reminder that it’s important to make memories in the present and preserve them for the future in pictures. People and places can change quickly.  One of the large old trees in the meadow at River Farm was split by the hurricane (the trunk is in one of the portraits).

Many thanks to Love Wed Bliss for the feature!
