On a beautiful spring day the wedding story of Julie and Brad unfolded. The album contains all the best pictures of their wedding day pulled together in a unique design just for them. This custom designed album will be 12×12 and bound in the highest quality black glove leather. Every detail of their wedding day will be a cherished memory as they look through this book and re-live the day they became a family.
A love of beauty is what motivates my photography. As a “people photographer” it is rewarding to bring out the unique beauty of the people I photograph. But there is something about nature, and flowers in particular, that speaks deeply to my soul. As I was out shooting with a client, I spotted these roses with their cheerful spots, speckles and stripes. Something a little out of the ordinary, with their own individual beauty, and I couldn’t resist taking a picture.

Meet Madelyn, daughter of John and Lauren whose wedding I was privileged to photograph two years ago. At 5 days old she was a perfect angel for the shoot. Very sleepy – except when she woke up for a little chat, and even then she knew to look right at the camera! And being such a new baby, her skin was absolutely perfect! Another good reason for newborn photo shoots to happen in the first week. Congratulations John and Lauren on your little beauty!

Julie had been praying for perfect wedding weather her whole life – and it worked! The day was amazing and the couple looked so stunning they were stopping traffic all day. Seriously, while we were taking pictures in Old Town Alexandria multiple people stopped their cars to say congratulations (and a few offered ideas for pictures). Isn’t Julie gorgeous!?

Julie’s bouquet was so fresh and fragrant with the peonies and roses!

Apparently Julie’s list of qualifications for her husband was quite long and Sara was happy to report that Brad passed the test!

To see lots more of Julie and Brad’s beautiful wedding day, watch their slideshow below. We started out in Old Town Alexandria with a “reveal” for the couple to see each other before the ceremony. This allowed time for pictures before the ceremony since the schedule didn’t allow for pictures afterwards. The reception was at the Springfield Golf and Country Club which looked so pretty in pink and gold. Hanging pink and white paper lanterns made the room quite festive. And since we were close to May, peonies are in bloom and Julie’s peony and rose bouquet smelled divine!
