Washington DC Engagement Photographer – Tricia and Reg

How gorgeous is this couple?!  They worked hard for me, trusting every idea I had as we traipsed around Georgetown looking for fall color and beautiful light.  Tricia is so organized, she contacted me about a year ago to make sure I’d be available to photograph their April 2011 wedding.  I shot Reg’s brother’s wedding several years ago and was thrilled to have the opportunity to continue working with this group of friends and family.   After working with Reg and Tricia on the engagement shoot, I’m doubly excited for their wedding!  Tricia will be a stunning bride!

Reg is interested in the method to my madness and recently played lighting assistant for special and unique portrait shoot that I had.  I think he learned a little about posing and lighting for portraits and was a huge help.  Look for that shoot to be posted next week.  Now on to just a few of my favorites from Tricia and Reg’s engagement photo shootin Washington DC.

Alexandria VA Portrait Photographer – Baby Harper

Big sister Hadley, turning 3 this week, had her mini shoot at the start of the portrait session, but 3 month old baby Harper was the star of the day for her first photoshoot.  With her big blue eyes and chubby thighs, she couldn’t be any cuter!  And both these girls have amazing hair that would make anyone jealous! So many sweet expressions, here are a few of my favorites:

River Farm Wedding Pictures – Karen and Paul’s Album

Karen and Paul’s album design is complete!  You can view the album of their fall garden wedding here: River Farm Wedding Pictures.

I do my best to have the album design ready when a couple returns from their honeymoon, or very shortly thereafter.  The album is the wedding day story told in pictures. As a wedding photographer I want my couples to have that complete story, rather than a proof gallery, to enjoy and share as soon after the wedding as possible.  A couple of times newlyweds have had their finished album in their hands a mere month after the wedding!

River Farm Wedding Photographer – Congratulations Karen & Paul!

Karen and Paul had a fantastic fall garden wedding at River Farm.  It was a lovely day all the way around – the bride was gorgeous in her sparkly dress, the sunset was spectacular, the tent was toasty warm after dark, and the subtle apple theme with the escort cards held by apples and the apple spice wedding cake were perfect.  Laura and Megan with Events in the City really outdid themselves to make sure every detail was thought of and perfectly executed.  Karen and Paul were free to enjoy their day, which they thoroughly did!

Congratulations Karen and Paul!  It was a pleasure to be your wedding photographer and I hope you’re relaxing on the beach as I type this!

Something old, borrowed and blue all together with these family wedding bands.

An appropriate gift for her fisherman groom:

The sunset just kept getting better and better!
