Sweet Katie was a perfect little sleeping beauty for her first photo shoot at 10 days old. Isn’t she so adorable?? As a photographer the shoot is always more enjoyable when the model is having fun too, and once Katie was toasty warm she was quite happy to curl up and sleep away like a good newborn baby, while I played. A win-win I’d say with these cute pictures as a result! Here are a few of my favorite portraits.
A gorgeous fall day, an excited couple, and nearly 300 friends and family ready to celebrate in style at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson’s, all combined for a picture perfect wedding day for Ashley and John. Ashely and John are crazy about each other, but truly, I’m not sure I’ve see more fun had at a wedding reception by everyone! It was one gorgeous room with incredible energy. The team from Glyde Productions made sure everyone was having a great time (how cool is a saxophone player mingling on the dance floor?) and Sara Franklin made sure everything was in its place and running on time. Ashely and John had a great team to make their day stress-free and fantastic.
I’ve also been the wedding photographer for several of John and Ashley’s friends and I so enjoy seeing those familiar faces I’ve photographed before or will be soon. John and Ashley’s wedding party and families were wonderful to work with to; it was a pleasure to photograph such a joyful day! Congratulations again John and Ashley!

The mix of sun, rain and clouds didn’t result in a rainbow, but we did find some fun color around Georgetown for Mary and Chris’s portrait session. Mary and Chris have been married for about a year, but since they didn’t do a pre-wedding engagement shoot, this was the perfect opportunity for casual pictures of the two of them. They are such a cute couple to photograph and I really enjoyed getting to know them as we walked (several miles I’m sure!) from one end of Georgetown to the other looking for the best picture spots. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the shoot:
The definition of a successful siblings portrait is having more than one child looking at the camera at the same time! You’d think I’d have my nephews trained for photo shoots but now, but they still have a mind of their own when it comes time to take their picture. Particularly Lincoln who has hit the terrible 2s a few months early (so no picture of the two of us this year sadly). But they are still lovable all the same and I enjoy every minute I have with them! Here are a few pictures of my favorite sandy Florida boys at Crescent Beach.
No, I didn’t suggest this. Anytime Lenox is laying down he gets sat upon. I think Lincoln is doing the motions to Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Thanks to Susan for a picture of me with Lenox.
Of course the minute we come back into the condo Lincoln climbs up to “work” at the laptop and flashes me his say cheese squinty-eyed smile. He’s so cute when my camera isn’t out, but I guess you’ll just have to take my word for it since I don’t have much proof! He is super adorable and happy when helping to wash my car, so maybe a lifestyle shoot would suit him better!
