Springtime in Washington DC

Vibrant colors make SPRING a strong contendor for the best season, but I’ll let you be the judge!

Tulips at the Tulip Library by the Tidal Basin:

OK, these aren’t flowers, but had to throw in a Year Two attempt at dying eggs with silk ties.  Toward the end we figured out the secret to more even color, so next year the third time should be the charm. 

Tulips at the Netherland Carillon by Iwo Jima.  Orchids at the Botanical Gardens spring orchid display.  Azaleas at the National Arboretum.  Any ideas what this is?  Also at the Arboretum.
