Alexandria, VA Summer Wedding – Congratulations Brette and Dan!

Brette and Dan’s early July wedding day in Alexandria, VA was unusually cool and damp, moving the ceremony location under cover to keep everyone dry. But that didn’t change the huge smiles on Brette and Dan’s faces the entire day. Those two relished every moment and it was a joy to watch their happiness as they celebrated. They also didn’t mind getting drizzled on for outside pictures, which I especially appreciated. The beauty in a wedding day truly is in the hearts of the couple and not in the weather!

Washington DC Family Photographer – Brennan and Kiana

Loved catching up with these kids, though it makes me feel old that I’ve been photographing them since before Kiana was born! So fun that they are old enough to get into the shoot and have their own ideas for poses, but also want to repeat ones from the past.

Running and laying in the grass are must do poses every time.

A typical boy, Brennan has a hard time keeping his feet on the ground!

Kiana’s latest passion is musical theater, so she performed for us.

Family Photos Alexandria, VA – Old Town

Baby Brianna turned one and big brother and mom had birthdays this month too. So that calls for a family photo session in Old Town Alexandria! Brianna is a quite attached to her mommy at this stage so we had to work to see her adorable dimples and get her dancing as a distraction. This whole family is so photogenic and it was fun to work with them again!

McLean VA Newborn Pictures – Jake

Chubby baby boys with great hair has been the theme for my newborn photos lately and I love it! Jake is adored by big sister Harper, though it seems like yesterday I was taking her newborn pictures. She has the cutest curls! Jake is also a smiler, so look for a few big grins from this handsome boy.

Engagement Shoot Hike – Katie and Tommy

This was not the easiest engagement shoot, but it was one of the most scenic! We hiked back to the spot of the proposal to capture a location and activity that Katie and Tommy enjoy as a couple, along with their dog, Oscar. It was certainly an adventure and the pictures are so uniquely them. Props to Katie for climbing rocks in sandals!
