Springfield, VA Newborn Photographer – Piper

Baby Piper is such a little doll!   She didn’t want to miss a thing so she stayed awake for a bit and showed us her big blue eyes. But once she was toasty warm she took a nice long nap for me. Isn’t she beautiful?

Family Photographer in Old Town Alexandria – Jacob

Jacob has lost three teeth since his portrait session last year fall!   What a big change to his sweet smile.  This was his five year old photo, combined with a family portrait and maternity shoot – as he becomes a big brother early next year.  Plus a new member of the family, a black lab puppy named Jade, has already joined in the fun.  I think they are just warming up to wrangling two kids for the next photo shoot!

Published – Army Navy Country Club Military Wedding Pictures

If you’ve followed my blog for a few years you may remember Jenn and Bill’s amazing wedding with all the gorgeous details.  If not, you must go see!  Here are the bride’s wedding details – shoes, jewelry, dress, etc.. And here are the groom’s – which includes a vintage military themed cocktail hour complete with telegram escort cards.  And their wedding ceremony pictures and wedding portraits featuring a 1941 Cadillac Limo and Washington DC monuments.  And finally the old Hollywood glamour reception at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA featuring a black and white damask cake and lots of mercury glass, crystals, and pale pink roses decorating the ballroom.  It was just stunning!  And recently featured on the Wedding Channel from the Knot.  See the full post here.

River Farm Wedding Pictures – Congratulations Kate and Scott!

Kate and Scott live in San Francisco, California, which made wedding planning a challenge.  But with lots of help from Kate’s parents who still live in Alexandria, they planned a gorgeous wedding day at River Farm in Alexandria, VA.  A beautiful celebration of the day they became husband and wife.  Kate brings fun everywhere she goes and from the pink shoes for her and the bridesmaids, to the George and Martha themed photo booth props she made sure that the day was full of life and laughter.  It was a pleasure to capture their day.  Congratulations Kate and Scott!

A quick stop with the bride and bridesmaids between the Lorien Hotel and River Farm.

Gorgeous bride!
Love the pop of pink with the shoes and bouquets.
Groom and groomsmen on a grass couch.
The reveal.  Love the reactions!
The pastor was also a good friend, making for a very sweet ceremony.
The reception tent was fully draped and so elegant!
Kate’s family had fun with the photo booth props!
A choreographed first dance performed flawlessly.  The formal dance was another nice nod to the colonial time period.
Stopping frequently, the get away wasn’t fast, but showed how much Kate and Scott valued the attendance of each friend and family member.
