Published – Ronald Reagan Building Wedding Reception Photos

Chris and Anne’s gorgeous winter wedding was published recently on the K.i.s.s Wedding blog!  Anne created a stunningly gorgeous wedding full of rich red and gold details, I know you’ll want to see their wedding pictures again.  Anne and Chris were married at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown, a beautiful, light-filled church for a lovely ceremony, even on a cold winter day. The Pavilion at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington DC is a unique wedding and reception venue with amazing staff  providing top-notch service.  The staff receives extra points in my book for finding, moving and holding a super tall ladder for me to climb to take the group picture shown on the Kiss blog of all the wedding guests.  They went above and beyond! And Chris and Anne now have a large print of that group shot hanging in their home.  To see more pictures of the wedding day, click here.

Virginia Beach Children’s Photographer – Jessalyn is One!

Jessalyn is a year old and what’s more fun than a huge cupcake to celebrate?  She took eating the cupcake very seriously and made quick work of it.  I was snapping photos fast!  All that was left were a few crumbs – and her brother was hoping she would share.  Maybe next time.

How gorgeous is this little girl?  Though her newborn photos were a clue that she was a little beauty. I hadn’t seen Jessalyn in three months and her little personality is really coming out.  What fun it has been to photograph this little girl as she grows!

Favorite Vendors – Megan and Laura – Events in the City

Another vendor I love working with is Events in the City, masterminded by Megan and Laura.  They are event planners extraordinaire who make every wedding unique and gorgeous.  Working with a wedding planner results in lots of pretty details that personalize a wedding and make it a beautiful experience for the couple and guests.  Whether brides want someone to brainstorm with them or someone to take over and make the vision happen, Laura and Megan are up for the challenge.

The other HUGE reason to have a wedding planner and coordinator is so the bride and groom, and their families, are completely free to enjoy the wedding day with every little detail overseen by someone else. From a wedding photographer’s perspective the day flows more smoothly, the details are more unique, and the bride and groom are more relaxed when a wedding planner is part of the team.

Laura and Megan throw their heart and soul into every wedding, making it something really special.  And, as a bonus, they are fun to work with too!  Two of my favorite weddings to photograph from last year reflected their hard work and pictures were recently featured on their Beyond the Skyline blog: Jenn & Bill and Sherri &Mike.

If you need a wedding, event, or party planner, I highly recommend Laura and Megan of Events in the City.

Here’s a recap of the lovely details.  Jenn and Bill’s wedding day was just amazing to photograph.  This is Bill’s vintage military themed cocktail hour room.  Jenn worked very closely with Megan to create these lovely spaces for their wedding guests to enjoy.

And Jenn’s old Hollywood glamour wedding reception in the ballroom.  Both at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA. The Army Navy Country Club is a beautiful spot for weddings.

And Sherri and Mike’s winter wonderland wedding at River Farm in Alexandria, VA.  Sherri and Mike gave Laura and Megan their vision, and let them carry it out – very successfully!

Published – River Farm Snowy Wedding Pictures, Alexandria VA

Five inches of snow and a little bit of blue sky = a perfect wedding day!  Sherri and Mike had a picture perfect wedding day last January and the Washingtonian Wedding Party blog recently shared their wedding day pictures with the world.  With gorgeous florals by Janet Flowers and yummy food by Ridgewells, the ladies of Events in the City designed and coordinated a stunning transformation of River Farm in Alexandria, Virginia.  Usually a garden wedding site, River Farm was transformed into a winter wonderland for an intimate wedding celebration.  Simply breath-taking!  If you haven’t seen these picture lately, you must click here to see Sherri and Mike’s cozy winter wedding, complete with portraits in the snow.
