Ethan is the much beloved and anticipated baby boy belonging to Laura Ritchie. Laura is half of Events in the City, and I’ve loved working on many beautiful weddings with her over the years. As you can see, she had some creative ideas to personalize Ethan’s newborn shoot too. SO adorable! Even at 8 days old he didn’t want to miss anything, and in between naps and snacks was wide awake. I think he was a little concerned about being in his daddy’s baseball glove, but had no trouble looking distinguished with a mustache. Ethan is certainly a keeper with those big blue eyes!
Portrait Sessions:
- When your referred friend books a session, you both have a $50 print credit as a thank you for sharing them with me.
- As a returning portrait client, you have a $50 print credit for each subsequent shoot as a thank you for being a loyal client. I love keeping in touch with my clients and working with them over the years!
Weddings:
- When your referred couple books a wedding, you both receive a $150 print credit.
Fine Print:
- Credits can not be applied to a session fee.
- Print credits can be combined and used for prints from the same session (they add up quickly!).
- Credits do not expire and can be used for prints from a past or future shoot.
- I do my best to keep up with credits, but if I neglect to give you a coupon code, please ask for it.
- Credits must be applied with a coupon code before paying on-line, a refund will not be issued to a credit card if you forget to use your credit on a particular order (if you do not have the correct code for your amount of credit, please don’t hesitate to ask for it).
- Credit for a portrait session is given after the session is held, credit for a wedding is given after the contract is signed.
- You do not have to have already been a client yourself (portrait or wedding) to refer a friend and receive a credit to be used later for your first shoot or order.
Dave and AJ are graduating from Georgetown University in Washington DC very soon and continuing their adventure with jobs in New York City. The friends have been roommates for 4 years, so during their senior portrait shoot it was fitting that we also took a few pictures of them together. They wanted to feature the Georgetown University campus and some of the significant features and buildings. It is a beautiful campus, and I learned a little bit of it’s history both from the guys and the new student tours going on around us. Congratulations AJ and Dave on your upcoming graduation and good luck in New York!
1. It’s training for your wedding day. No really, it is! Working with me, I can give you tips and guidance so you become comfortable in front of the camera. After seeing the images, you’ll know that you do look great. It builds trust in me, which makes the wedding day much more fun for us all, and leads to better wedding pictures. Inevitably the groom always makes a comment on the wedding day that he was glad we did the engagement shoot; he knows what to expect and doesn’t dread seeing me!
2. Every couple needs good pictures capturing their dating days. An engagement shoot is a stress-free shoot that captures your everyday relationship. These pictures are not restrained by wedding clothes or the wedding day schedule. It’s a relaxed shoot, showing the essence of who you are as a couple and your love for each other.
3. It’s fun! As the photographer, it’s fun to have time to be creative with you and to get to know you. For you, it gives you time and permission to enjoy each other and feel like models. Even the most reluctant of clients always admits the shoot was fun in the end! And you’ll have great images to show off to friends and family too!
4. It enables me to do my job better. There’s no better way for me as a photographer to get to know you as a couple than to work with you. After the shoot I know a lot about the dynamics of your relationship and how I can best capture your personalities, while making you look amazing. And knowing you better makes me even more invested in shooting your wedding to the best of my ability. I want your day to be captured perfectly!
This was an especially sweet engagement shoot. Matt was home on leave for a few days before leaving for Afghanistan. Katie will be working on wedding planning while he’s away and looking forward to the wedding to come when he returns. I’m so glad they were able to make time for an engagement shoot; I know these pictures will be extra special to them while they are apart. I love how these pictures show the connection and fun they have together.
