Children’s Portrait Photographer – Lenox and Lincoln

It’s hard to believe that it was time for the two year and four year old portraits of the nephews.  They are so big!  But I’ve decided that it may not be the age that determines whether kids are cooperative for pictures, but rather the mood of the day!   The stars certainly aligned for Lincoln’s two year old shoot, he was so adorably sweet for me (with much assistance from Grammy).  Enjoy some sunny smiles from my two favorite boys!

Jacksonville Florida Portrait Photographer – Nephews with new puppy

Finally, it’s time for a new pictures of the nephews (check back on Thursday for a few more).  Yay!  I really enjoyed spending a lot of time with these little guys over the holidays.  Lincoln is talking so much (it’s adorable! is it crazy that I think two year olds are at a really cute stage?), and Lenox is an aspiring photographer (it was so hard not to laugh as he directed his shots, he knew exactly what he wanted).  They are growing up so fast!  And, they have a new puppy, Lilly, who made her modeling debut.  She’s a teeny tiny and very sweet little thing and is really good with the boys (and most of the time they are good with her!). She already fetches and comes when she’s called.  But, two boys and a puppy are a challenge to photograph as not everyone would cooperate at the same time, of course!  But lots of cuteness all the same!

And note that Jacksonville, Florida had fall color this year, just in time for winter!

Old Town Alexandria Engagement Photographer – Jennifer & Bill

It was a cold, cold day, but with the festive Old Town Alexandria Christmas decorations and a little remaining snow, it was worth braving the chill for beautiful engagement portraits of Jennifer and Bill.  Bill is an Army medic so it was fitting the a few of the portraits also had a patriotic flare.  I loved Jen’s red shoes – so fun!  Jennifer is going to be a gorgeous bride, I can’t wait to see the dress she found in New York city this past weekend!

McLean Virginia Portrait Photographer – Sisters

Sisters Alexandra, Natasha and Sophia are surprising their mom with a professional portrait of the three girls for Christmas.  What a thoughtful idea!  We were shooting on an absolutely frigid day (this would also be a great idea in say, September or October), so we could only stay outside for a few minutes at a time.  We incorporated a little of their home too, to make the portraits more personal.  What gorgeous girls!

Washington DC Winter Engagement Portrait

As you can tell, I had a little trouble picking just a few favorites from this engagement portrait shoot in Washington DC.  Fortunately we had a not-so-freezing day, so that made it much more fun for them and the photographer!  But truly, this couple was a delight to work with and so obviously in love, that it was hard to stop shooting.  We spent a little time in Georgetown and then around the Lincoln Memorial and World War II Memorial for these history buffs.  Are they not adorable?  These engagement pictures capture the sweetness of their relationship.  Even a few more images are posted on Facebook, so if you haven’t already, friend me or like jan michele photography to see more.
