Belmont Country Club Wedding – Congratulations Katie and Tommy!

Belmont Country Club is a beautiful place for a wedding. no matter the weather. This October day did not turn sunny as forecasted so the misty overcast day felt more like London, which was fine with the groom and his affinity for British things. We were able to do the first look and portraits outdoors which made us all happy, but to be safe, the ceremony was set up inside the ballroom. Katie is such a classic beauty and looked so elegant. Her hairpiece was her mothers. But most of all we’re glad the groom had pants. Though I don’t think it would have bothered him to get married in his jeans. However, the mini-crisis was adverted and the tux pants did arrive in time to see his bride for the first look. There was a lot of love and support for this couple and happy memories made by all.

The next three pictures are from the “first look”.

An overcast and misty October day moved the ceremony into the ballroom.

How special is this?! GreatGrandmother, Grandparent and parents, all on the front row.

The groom’s sister made wedding favors from recycled bicycle chains. Star Christmas tree ornaments packaged in cute bicycle boxes.

Biking is something they enjoy together so there was a bicycle themed cake topper.

Many tears during the ceremony and super sweet parent dances.

It was a bit misty most of the day.

Newborn Posed Photos Washington, DC – Thomas

It’s always an honor to photograph what I think I’ll call my “wedding babies”. It’s a joy, not only to photograph a wedding, but to watch the family grow, in this case by two adorable boys. They were fairly similar to photograph (neither would sleep on their tummies) so it will be interesting to see if their temperaments are similar. Michael has twinkly eyes and a big smile and is already showing signs of being an attentive big brother. These boys are going to have a ball growing up together so close in age. I’m sure they’ll be the best of buddies!

Jacksonville Beach Kids Photos – Lenox, Lincoln and London

London turn 4 in July and the boys are almost 8 and 10 (how did that happen??), and taking pictures is finally starting to be fun! It was almost easy. So weird. It was still hard to get real smiles from all three at the same time, but for the most part they cooperated. And added some of their own pose ideas. 🙂 Beach pictures 2016 – done!

It was an incredibly windy evening (the over-gelling seemed to hold for Lenox) in August, but nothing compared to Hurricane Matthew that washed these dunes away in October.

Jacksonville, FL Family Photo – Mason

Almost 9 month old Mason is a dream client. He was napping when they arrived in the garden, woke up and was ready to smile in minutes. What a happy little guy! Though now that he’s a speedy crawler it was a bit of a challenge to keep him still. He wanted to be on the move! It was so much fun to catch up with him, as he’s changed just a tad since he was a newborn baby!

River Farm Wedding – Congratulations Sarah and Matt!

River Farm in Alexandria Virginia is a picture perfect wedding venue no matter the weather. Now that cooler fall days are here, it’s hard to imagine summer heat. But this was a brutally hot and humid July day. Never mind the weather, Sarah looked gorgeous in her lace gown, and fulfilled her dream to get married under the Osage Orange tree in the River Farm garden. The memories are what counts and this day made many wedding memories to cherish for a lifetime.
