Jacksonville Florida Newborn Baby Boy photos – Welcome Bradley!

What a precious baby brother!  And an honor to photograph the second son in this beautiful family.  Bradley is so calm,  even with open eyes, as he didn’t want to miss any of his first photo session, on his 5th day of life.  He did finally get sleepy and it was such a warm day I was able to take him outside which was a nice change of scenery for a newborn baby session.  So many darling pictures and poses in the knit romper and lots of kisses from big brother.  And a head of hair to be envied!

Lincoln’s Cottage Washington DC Wedding Pictures – Congratulations!

I love an old classic church with beautiful stained glass! Columba’s Episcopal Church in Washington, DC is a place that held many memories for the bride and her family.  The ceremony was personal yet so refreshingly formal.  Reverends Amy and Rose were delightful to work with as was Marti the church coordinator.  Having wonderful people to work with always makes my job so much more enjoyable!

The bride had her ring with it’s unique shape, made just for her.

Thank goodness for YouTube and a groomsman who learns quickly and did an expert job with all the green bow ties!  Letting each of the groomsfriends wear their own suits or dress, was tied together (no pun intended) with the matching ties and socks.

The bride’s sister, who was instrumental in all the wedding planning, was a pro at tying the wedding gown bow.

And the bridesfriends.  I loved how they had a very traditional and beautiful ceremony, yet didn’t let formality control their day.  They had their friends on their side, regardless of gender, and let the wedding party select their own clothes within the color palette.  Adding wildflower style florals completed the casually coordinated look.

Blues and yellows and greens were the wedding colors, all combined in this wildflower bridal bouquet.

These three ladies had such a bonding time with the wedding planning and made so many memories throughout the process. The bride was completing her PhD and lived several hours away, so really relied on her mom and sister to help with so many details.

This church has such a pretty little garden for pictures.  Hard to tell it was 100% humidity and everyone was melting!

Old Town Toddler Pictures – Logan

What a fun morning portrait session in Old Town Alexandria photographing of a slice of toddler life.  Logan is a busy boy!  He kept us on our toes as he practiced climbing stairs and benches and wanted to be on the move in all directions.  Only his favorite truck book kept him still and entertained.  Love that he loves his book!  It’s this blond boy so adorable in his sailboat and navy bubble suit!?

Washington DC Spring Baby Pictures – Caroline

Oh sweet Caroline!  Isn’t she the most adorable baby girl?  Little sister gets her own photo shoot today featuring her Christening gown.  I love it when parents make as big a deal about baby number 2 as they did for baby number 1.  I know Caroline will treasure these pictures when she’s older!

She’s starting to crawl, but the dress slowed her down thankfully.  Sitting babies is the perfect time for pictures to capture the cuteness before they are mobile and on the go. and much more challenging to catch!

Kailua Beach Sunset Family Photos – Oahu, Hawaii

I am so blessed with amazing clients, and always enjoy meeting a new family!  How fun is photographing a slice of Hawaii life for them!  These busy boys kept me on my toes, and trying to think of every trick in my book to keep them engaged.  Kudos to their parents who stayed in good humor and kept the boys reasonably dry, which made for a delightful evening on Kailua Beach, capturing a little of this family’s story.   Military service has taken them all over the world and this is the second time they’ve lived in Hawaii.  The first time was sans children, though adding their firstborn son before they left.  They previously lived near this beautiful beach with a view of Kaneohe Marine Corp base, and it holds many fond memories. This time in Hawaii these three boys will make many memories and I bet Kailua Beach will be a favorite of theirs too!

Jumping also keeps the boys engaged – getting off the ground at the same time is the challenge.  Good jumps, boys!
