What a precious baby brother! And an honor to photograph the second son in this beautiful family. Bradley is so calm, even with open eyes, as he didn’t want to miss any of his first photo session, on his 5th day of life. He did finally get sleepy and it was such a warm day I was able to take him outside which was a nice change of scenery for a newborn baby session. So many darling pictures and poses in the knit romper and lots of kisses from big brother. And a head of hair to be envied!
I love an old classic church with beautiful stained glass! Columba’s Episcopal Church in Washington, DC is a place that held many memories for the bride and her family. The ceremony was personal yet so refreshingly formal. Reverends Amy and Rose were delightful to work with as was Marti the church coordinator. Having wonderful people to work with always makes my job so much more enjoyable!
The stained glass windows in this church were so beautiful!
The Mary Todd room at Lincoln’s Cottage is set aside for the bride. And seemed to require a formal throw back portrait.

What a fun morning portrait session in Old Town Alexandria photographing of a slice of toddler life. Logan is a busy boy! He kept us on our toes as he practiced climbing stairs and benches and wanted to be on the move in all directions. Only his favorite truck book kept him still and entertained. Love that he loves his book! It’s this blond boy so adorable in his sailboat and navy bubble suit!?
Oh sweet Caroline! Isn’t she the most adorable baby girl? Little sister gets her own photo shoot today featuring her Christening gown. I love it when parents make as big a deal about baby number 2 as they did for baby number 1. I know Caroline will treasure these pictures when she’s older!
She’s starting to crawl, but the dress slowed her down thankfully. Sitting babies is the perfect time for pictures to capture the cuteness before they are mobile and on the go. and much more challenging to catch!
I am so blessed with amazing clients, and always enjoy meeting a new family! How fun is photographing a slice of Hawaii life for them! These busy boys kept me on my toes, and trying to think of every trick in my book to keep them engaged. Kudos to their parents who stayed in good humor and kept the boys reasonably dry, which made for a delightful evening on Kailua Beach, capturing a little of this family’s story. Military service has taken them all over the world and this is the second time they’ve lived in Hawaii. The first time was sans children, though adding their firstborn son before they left. They previously lived near this beautiful beach with a view of Kaneohe Marine Corp base, and it holds many fond memories. This time in Hawaii these three boys will make many memories and I bet Kailua Beach will be a favorite of theirs too!
So many silly faces!
Lot’s of toddler wrangling.
